React + React Native developer at Connected Cars

At Connected Cars, we’re helping automotive manufactures, importers, and dealerships, building long-lasting customer relationships, through intelligent use of real-time car telematics data. With our software solution, workshops can transform their business processes and customer dialogues from reactive to proactive. Our success so far has brought us to 200,000+ vehicles, in 6 countries – and this is just the beginning!

The position

We are open to someone who has experience with React, but would like to work with React Native. TypeScript is a plus

As a React/React Native developer at Connected Cars you will mainly be working with our React and React Native code base and working fluidly between the two. A large part of the job is making sure we deliver a high quality and intuitive user experience that works in a wide range of browsers and devices. You’ll also be responsible for moving your own code into production.

On the front-end and mobile app our main technologies are currently React/React Native, TypeScript, Apollo, GraphQL and Codegen.

Our full tech stack across the teams currently includes Node.js (both JavaScript and TypeScript), Python, Go, MySQL, BigQuery, Yocto, Rust, React on web and React Native for our mobile apps on iOS and Android. On the hosting side we are using Google Cloud and several other modern cloud services.

We believe in release early, release often, which is why we run several daily releases using our continuous integration and deployment setup.

Developers work in small teams of about 3-4 people each. We focus on minimal overhead and bureaucracy as we want to ensure independence and that decision power stays within the teams. This means that teams have a lot of influence on how they work, what they focus on, and how they deliver new features and functionality.

What we’re looking for

We don’t expect you to tick every box in our current tech stack. What matters is that you have some experience as a front-end developer, you like to learn, and know how to leverage your experience across technology stacks and languages.

But here’s what would be a good fit:

  • Experience in more than one technology stack
  • React, Vue, Angular or similar
  • JavaScript with ES2022 or TypeScript syntax
  • Babel, TypeScript, Flow or similar
  • React context, Apollo, Redux, Redux-sagas or similar
  • Consuming RESTful/GraphQL APIs
  • Focus on quality and doing things right

You get extra points, if you:

  • Code in your spare time
  • Have Github or a similar account with sample code
  • Have Open Source development experience

What’s in it for you?

  • Work with one of the largest and broadest IoT/telematics data sets in the industry
  • Be part of a journey to develop the car owner experience of the future
  • Competitive salary and pension scheme
  • Flexible working hours and location
  • Employee discounts on cars (incl. leases and repairs) for yourself and your family
  • Laptop of your choice
  • Cheap lunch scheme
  • All the snacks and sodas you can consume
  • Strong open source commitment

How to apply

To apply just send an e-mail to jobs@connectedcars.io, including the following:

  • Updated CV or link to your LinkedIn profile
  • Link to Github or similar with examples of your work

Or you can apply via LinkedIn

Note that we are only looking for mostly on-site candidates at our location in the Copenhagen area, Denmark
